New Mexico is leading the nation with Universal Child Care, a system built on the belief that every family deserves affordable, quality care, and every provider deserves recognition and support.
ECECD invites providers, families, businesses, and community partners across the state to take the Universal Child Care Pledge — a public commitment to making Universal Child Care a success for everyone.
By taking the pledge, you show your pride in being part of this historic effort and your commitment to helping build a stronger, more equitable early childhood system for New Mexico families.
This pledge is about partnership, accuracy, and shared responsibility. It is a collective promise to support families, providers, and communities as New Mexico continues to lead the way in early childhood care and education.
What the Pledge Means
When you take the pledge, you are saying:
- You believe in universal access to affordable, quality care.
- You will encourage families to enroll in Child Care Assistance.
- You will support and help share ECECD’s Universal Child Care outreach efforts, including digital and in-person events, resources, and communications that help families and providers stay informed.
- You are committed to seeking and sharing accurate information about Universal Child Care to strengthen public understanding and counter misinformation.
- You are dedicated to working together to ensure that Universal Child Care strengthens New Mexico’s economy and supports working families.
How to Participate
1. Sign the Pledge: Complete the short online form below.
2. Show Your Pride: Receive your “UCC Proud” digital badge to display on your website, social media, or printed materials.
3. Help Spread the Word: Promote Universal Child Care at ECECD digital and in-person events and through available resources at Universal Child Care | Early Childhood Education & Care Department.
