Accessibility
The New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD) is committed to providing accessible digital content for all users. We are dedicated to creating a website that is easily accessible and user-friendly for everyone, including those with disabilities. This commitment aligns with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II, and is driven by our belief in an inclusive digital space.

We are actively working to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, which is the recognized and accepted technical standard for website accessibility and web content.
We will publish updates as improvements are completed. Where possible, alternative methods to access information will be provided.

Our Commitment to Continuous Improvement
To ensure long-term, sustainable accessibility, we aim to:
- Integrate WCAG and ADA Title II requirements into content creation and web development
- Provide staff training on accessible design and documents
- Consider accessibility when procuring software, vendors, and digital tools
- Conduct periodic accessibility audits
- Track issues and maintain a remediation roadmap
